Burnie Christian Centre commenced around 1970 and as we have grown we have had to change location on several occasions. We are an independent local church relating to CRC Churches International.

Along with many other churches in many different parts of the world we work together to impact our community, nation, and world with the love of Jesus Christ. Through our relationship with CRC Churches International we receive instruction, encouragement and friendship, whilst making ourselves accountable.

The purpose of Burnie Christian Centre is therefore to introduce people to Jesus Christ, engraft them into His church and equip them to do His will in all areas of life, that God may be glorified.

What We Believe

Our beliefs are according to the Bible which we believe is the infallible and authoritative Word  of God.

There is one God, the Creator, eternally existing in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; that He is the Son of God; we believe in His virgin birth, in His bodily resurrection and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.

In the second coming of Jesus Christ.

In the person and works of the Holy Spirit with His fruit and gifts abiding in the church.

In the infilling or baptism in the Holy Spirit for all believers with the evidence of speaking in tongues. This is not required for salvation.

In the spiritually lost condition of mankind and the essential need for the "new birth" by faith in Jesus Christ.

In the sacraments of the Lord's Supper [communion] and baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit for all believers.

In divine healing by personal faith in Jesus Christ.
