Does your life have meaning?

Take a look at your life.
    Is it what you expected it to be?
    Are you fulfilled?
    Do you feel loved?

What would your life be like if you could live it over again?
    Would you do things differently?

When God created the world it was perfect. He then created two people who walked and talked with God. But it wasn't long before that communication was broken. They chose to walk away from God and were no longer blameless. That was when sin entered into the world.

Even tho people chose to go their own way, God still loved them and the world that He had created. So what did He do? He sent His only son, Jesus Christ, to redeem them back to Himself.

Jesus came and died, then rose again so that we could again have a relationship with God. Jesus was crucified for the sins of all. God loves us unconditionally and wants to be a part of our lives. Is this life for you?

Would you like to know God personally?

Have you  ever asked yourself the question, "Is the Christian life for me?"

Christianity is not a set of rules but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

God loves you and wants you to know Him personally. We read in the Bible "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." [John 3:16]

God has a plan for you – “Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.” [John 17:3]

So what is it that is preventing you from knowing God and experiencing perfect love?

People are lost and separated from God by sin – again we read in God’s Word, the Bible -
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” [Romans 3:23]
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” [Romans 6:23]

God is holy and people are lost. A great gulf separates the two. People are continually trying to reach God by their own efforts to establish a relationship with Him. Many try to live a good life or may try religion, but in their own strength they inevitably fail. Through the ages people have tried many ways to bridge the gap and reach God without success. There is nothing we can do of ourselves to get back to God.

Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for us. It is through Him alone that we can know God personally and experience His wonderful love.

The good news is that through Jesus Christ, God has made a way for all people to come to Him.

 By His death upon the cross, Jesus took the punishment that was due to you, and opened the way to the Father. Like any open door it can be ignored or entered.

The choice is now yours.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” [Romans 5:8]

Jesus rose from the dead to give us life -
“Christ died for our sins…. He was buried…. He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…. He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred….”  1 Corinthians 15:3-6

Jesus is the only way to reach God, “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’”.  [John 14:6]

What is your response to God's love?

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved”.  [Romans 10:9]

So in summary, to become a child of God today you need to believe that…
      Jesus Christ is God’s Son
      He lived a sinless life
      He accepted the punishment for your sins by allowing Himself to be crucified on a cross
      God raised Him to life again in three days
      Admit that you are a sinner who needs to escape the punishment of your sins
      You want Jesus to be your Saviour and Lord.

We must trust Jesus Christ to forgive our sins and determine to obey Him for the rest of our lives. That way we can know God and find peace again. So when you pray and ask Jesus to save you from your sins and be Lord of your life, you inherit all the promises of God, including His promise of living with Him in Heaven forever. Why not pray and ask Jesus into your life today?

You could pray a prayer something like this -

        I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the grave to give me life. I know that you are the only way to God. Please forgive me for leaving You out of my life. I repent of my past ways. Change my life and show me how to live for you. In Jesus name. Amen
